    Hi! First of all, I just want to say thank you so much! It truly means a lot that you took the time out of your day to check out my photography! Growing up in upstate New York, my family frequently went hiking and camping in the Adirondacks. I always thought it was so amazing that, through photography, I could capture a moment and keep it forever. So, I eventually took after my mom-who documented everything we did in the 'Dacks-and picked up a camera of my own. Photography greatly helped me to slow down in the woods and to really take in my surroundings. It encouraged me to get down low, look at a tree sideways or sometimes risk my life for the perfect shot. Without photography, my perspective in the outdoors surely would have remained singular. With my camera in hand, I finished hiking the Adirondack 46 High Peaks in August of 2013 after turning sixteen years old. Photography helped me along my journey. When I did not want to hike, I realized that I might miss photographic opportunities. It was a major motivator and truly helped to fuel my adoration for nature. Through my work, I hope to encourage others to go outside and to see what a truly amazing world we live in. Nature has so much to offer and the only way you will be able to see it is if you go outside and bask in the adventure and authenticity of it all.
